Yuan QIU (邱远)

I will join School of Cyber Science and Engineering at Southeast University (SEU) as an associate researcher.
I was a research fellow in School of Computing at National University of Singapore (NUS) supervised by Prof. Xiaokui Xiao, and was a big data engineer working for Volcano Engine at ByteDance.
I received my Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), under the supervision of Prof. Ke Yi. Prior to that, I received my B.Sc. degree in Mathematics and Economics, and in Computer Science with First Class Honors from HKUST.

My research interests include: database theory and systems; data security and privacy; data sketching and sampling; data streams; data structures.
